Johanna Carson — but most people call her Jo — is a Southern artist currently living in Evansville, Indiana with her wonderful husband, their son James, their daughter Josephine, and two parti poodles, Bobbie and Millie.

She has been painting since kindergarten, creating on anything she could get her hands on. Raised across the South, Johanna began her journey selling her work while living in Memphis — an important chapter that gave her the confidence to share her art more widely.

Johanna credits her mother for encouraging her creativity from day one, and her faith and family remain at the center of everything she creates.
